Instrument Recertification

UPA Technology has more than 40 years of experience with the recertification and repair of coating thickness measurement instruments. Experienced technicians follow thorough testing procedures using traceable standards and accredited procedures to recertify measuring instruments. UPA can recertify a wide range of devices including XRF, beta backscatter, eddy current and magnetic induction instruments and most brands including equipment manufactured by UPA, MicroPioneer, Fischer, Seiko, Veeco, Infralytic, DeFelsko, Oxford/CMI, and Elcometer.

Instrument Repair

UPA provides repair services for many models of measuring instruments and stocks probes, standards, parts and accessories for your instrument service and repair needs. We can work on most brands of equipment including UPA, MicroPioneer, Fischer, Seiko, Veeco, Oxford/CMI, and Elcometer. This service is often completed with 1-3 days at a highly competitive price.

Rental instruments are typically available to keep your process running while your equipment is being serviced to avoid any additional inconvenience.

Probe Isotope Leak Testing and Source Disposal

UPA provides probe leak testing and source disposal for UPA, CMI, Oxford, Fischer and Twin City probes. All leak tested probes receive comprehensive accuracy, drift, and contamination testing to insure optimum performance of beta equipment. UPA disposal service for all brands of beta backscatter isotopes. Documentation required by the NRC is provided for your records with copies maintained by UPA.

Measurement Standards Recertification

UPA offers prompt recertification for all brands of X-Ray standards including Fischer, Oxford, Calmetrics, Seiko, Veeco, Hitachi or Eastern Applied Research as well as for plated eddy current standards. All UPA standards are shipped with ISO-17025 accredited certifications. All standards recertifications are NIST traceable and guaranteed accurate.

Beta Backscatter Source Probe Replacement and Repair Service

UPA offers prompt and professional testing, repair and probe replacement for all brands of beta backscatter probes.

WebEx Demos and Training

UPA offers online WebEx product demonstrations and customer training sessions. This provides an affordable and accessible way to learn about our products. Operational training on the measuring devices is useful orientation on newly purchased equipment, refresher training for existing employees, and onboarding of new employees.

Contracted Parts Measurement

Do you need to occasionally measure and certify coating thickness, but can’t justify purchasing an instrument? No problem, have UPA measure and certify the coating thickness. Only a one hour minimum is required and completion of samples and report is typically provided within 1-2 days. Contracted samples measurement is an easy solution for your coating confirmation and certification requirements. UPA also provides Microderm systems on a rental basis.
